Planet Q TV is back online – Happy Viewing!!

After a short time off to fix some security leaks (damn those hackers) – Planet Q TV is back up and running.  We have updated the script, changed our video player (it is such a sweet video player), changed a few little things about the site and we are all set.  More good things are coming in the weeks ahead like a redesigned profile page so your profile, your picture and all the great things you have to say about your self will look good – plus other surprises we think you will like.

As always we welcome your comments and suggestions – tell us what you like and what you don’t like about Planet Q TV and what we can do to make it better.  Speak up and let us know your thoughts.  We hope you continue to enjoy watching videos from all over the world and make sure you join our community AND UPLOAD YOUR VIDEOS!!

The question is: Why Do You Care?

Keith Olbermann of MSNBC late night talk news gave an impassioned plea about Prop 8 that passed in California (similar to prop 2 that passed in my crappy home state of Florida).  You know the proposition that says love and marriage can only be between a man and a woman.  So Keith asked “Why Do You Care?” of the straight community who voted in favor of this measure.  I was quite impressed with his comments, his passion and his honesty.    I hope more people get to see it.  Tell me what you think.

I have taken Planet Q TV offline until I work out some issues with the site.  It appears the hackers are at it again and more security measures are needed.  I apologize for the inconvenience and will have the site back up soon.  Thanks for your patience.

Congratulations Barack Obama

President Elect Obama

 

I am proud of this nation and I am proud of our new President.  Today we elected a man not based on his race, his color, his ethnicity but because he inspired a country.  He inspired me and frankly I can’t stand politics and politicians but I can’t wait to see what he does and I can’t wait for the U.S. to regain its prominence and respect in the world.  You have probably seen his speech at Grant Park a thousand times today but I wouldn’t be a proud supporter if I didn’t put in our our blog.  Here’s to the future!!

 

So why are elections on Tuesday?

So someone madea comment that they wondered why elections are always on Tuesday and only on Tuesday – which I thought was kind of interesting.  It turns out that back in the 1800s when our nation was predominately an agricultural society – the idea was to have elections at a time when the harvest was done and the work of the harvest was done.  So it was thought that the first Tuesday of November would be a good time.  Go to church on Sunday, travel on Monday to the voting location, vote on Tuesday and come back home on Wednesday.

While one day has been traditional, why can’t we have elections on let’s say over the course of 2 days.  So many employers are being jerks about letting people go out and vote and everyone knows that today there are going to be long lines.  Why not let voting happen over 2 days.  Adrian right now was told by his district manager in a conference call to all store managers and assistants that she didn’t want to hear any excuses, people weren’t allow to be late because they voted.  That tells me no support for this very important day. So voting over 2 days - Now that would be interesting?
